Since graduating from Glasgow School of Art with a BA (Hons) in Silversmithing and Jewellery in the summer of 2005 I have set up my own business, making and designing jewellery and patterns. I work from home in Glasgow’s West End, and spend the most part of each day at my bench creating and making jewels from a variety of precious and non-precious materials. All the jewellery I create is made entirely by hand, using traditional techniques such as piercing sheet silver, carving, stone setting and bead and pearl stringing.

I began blogging in January 2006, and have found the community so welcoming and rewarding, helping me to feel a part of a creative community despite the apparent isolation of my working environment.

I am inspired by old buildings and their bas-relief carvings…flowers, plants and trees, the outdoors, notions of ‘vintage’, photography, antiques, fashion, illustration and the drawn line and most of all…pattern.
