*Cough* now this is my quilt from Kath’s book and the only reason I’m doing this post is that she’s gallivanting around Melbourne at the moment. Thanks Julie and The Storque for posting my quilt! My design is definitely tongue in cheek, but it is also directly related to an incident with nanna’s false teeth and my cardigan pocket…Link to pattern.

Introducing more of the contributors, whose mini quilt patterns appear in Whip Up Mini Quilts
, published by Chronicle books
Yesterday I introduced you to the cover gals: Alexandra Rasmussen, Lisa Solomon, and Kellie Wulfsohn.
Today I want you to meet the three European based gals: Alix McAlister, Ruth Singer and Kajsa Wikman.
Alix McAlister, is a UK based collector and story teller, I love her folky magical aesthetic.

Ruth Singer is an author, stitcher and textile historian. She has an exquisite ability to manipulate fabric.

Kajsa Wikman is Finnish artist with a playful approach to making – her children are a major inspiration in her work.

More makers will be introduced to tomorrow: Australian based makers Alison Brookbanks, Shannon Lamden, Kristine Lempriere, Nicole Vaughan and me! And US based makers Betz White, Sherri-Lynn Wood, Lisa Call, Boo Davis, Malka Dubrawsky, Victoria Gertenbach, Lizette Greco, Liz Harvatine, Jude Hill, Lucinda Jones, Alicia Paulson, Meg Spaeth and Sarah Steedman.
